European 4-1 Rhombus
The European 4-1 is an age-old chain maille pattern that was woven into shirts of armor for Renaissance knights to wear as protection from sword and lance blows. This pattern is assembled by alternating rows of silver and bronze rings that connect one-on-one in four directions. The Keyfob project shown, assembles the chain maille sheet into a rhombus shape, completed with a split ring for your car keys. This introduction project of the basic European 4-1 Rhombus keyfob leads into the contruction of the last and most advanced project of the book; the infamous six-sided beaded Snake bracelet.
