Getting Started

You will need two pair of flat-nose pliers, one in each hand to work in tandem. Start by separating the twenty-four rings into two metal types of twelve rings, twist open each ring by 30-degrees with your dominant hand pushing and your non-nominate hand pulling.

The European 4-1 chain-maille pattern starts with four rings added to one ring as shown. The green represents bronze and the blue represents silver, using two different colors or metals will help to visually simplify the alternating rows of angled rings of the chain pattern.
